Clear expectations for lessons
These terms explain the practical arrangements for one-to-one tutoring.
Bookings and payments
Lessons are arranged in advance and are subject to confirmation. The standard lesson length is 60 minutes; 90-minute lessons are also available. Payment is by bank transfer, and a family account records lessons, amounts due and payments, with a monthly statement by email.
Cancellations and changes
Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or rearrange a lesson; with that notice, the lesson will not be charged. If a change is needed, contact Oscar as soon as possible so an alternative can be considered.
Online lessons
Students should join on time, with the materials needed for the lesson, and take part respectfully. A parent or guardian should provide an appropriate, safe learning environment for online lessons and be contactable during lessons with younger students.
Working together
Tuition supports school learning but does not guarantee a particular grade or outcome. Parents, guardians and students should share relevant learning needs and let Oscar know promptly if a lesson arrangement is no longer suitable.
