Safeguarding

Safeguarding statement

A safe, respectful learning environment is part of every lesson.

Professional conduct

Lessons are conducted respectfully and professionally. Communication stays focused on tutoring, appropriate boundaries are maintained, and concerns about a student's welfare are taken seriously.

Parents and guardians

For under-18s, a parent or guardian is the primary contact for arrangements and should be contactable during online lessons. Any safeguarding concern will be raised with the parent or guardian unless doing so could increase risk to the student.

Online lessons and recordings

Online lessons should take place in an appropriate setting. Any proposal to record a lesson would be discussed in advance with the parent or guardian and everyone taking part.

Raising a concern

To raise a safeguarding concern, contact hello@oscarsongtutoring.co.uk. If there is an immediate risk of harm, contact emergency services or the relevant local safeguarding service.

Independent escalation

If a concern cannot appropriately be raised with the tutor, including a concern about the tutor's conduct, you can contact the free, independent NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000 or email help@nspcc.org.uk.

You can also contact your family's local authority children's services or LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer) through your local council.
